Empowering Women and Breaking the Cycle of Poverty

“Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man how to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.”

Poverty remains a significant challenge in India, where 310 million people (28% of the population) live on less than $0.24 a day—far below the poverty line. Widows and rural women are especially vulnerable, often facing destitution, abuse, oppression, and marginalization.

Equipping Women Through Skills Training

To address this pressing need, New Life launched tailoring classes to empower widows and other women in rural communities. Through these classes, participants learn valuable skills such as:

• Dressmaking

• Cutting and embroidery

• Needlework

• Textile painting

• Fashion design

These skills provide women with the means to support themselves and their families, restoring dignity and hope in their lives.

A Life-Changing Gift

It costs just $150 to purchase a sewing machine. With this simple tool, 40-50 women can be trained daily in sewing and tailoring. More importantly, these women also receive the Good News of Jesus Christ, offering them hope not just for today but for eternity.

How You Can Help

Your support can:

• Provide sewing machines to expand this life-transforming program.

• Enable women to gain skills that will lift them and their families out of poverty.

• Spread the Gospel to some of the most marginalized communities in rural India.

Partner With Us

Make a monthly commitment or a one-time gift to help expand this program and bring lasting change to the lives of women in rural villages. Together, we can empower them with skills, hope, and the love of Christ.
